AMERICAN BANK CENTER PRODUCES NEW ENTERTAINMENT OPTION
American Bank Center/SMG is celebrating the Grand Opening of the American Bank Center Spotlight Cabaret this Saturday, August 29th at 9:00pm with One Night Stand-Up presented by The Vent. The Spotlight Cabaret was created in a successful attempt to bring a comedy club look and feel to the room previously known as the Selena Auditorium Rehearsal Hall. One Night Stand-Up will feature comedians Nick Guerra, James Ponce, Berto Garcia, Joe Flores and a special performance by The Beards Improv Comedy.
General Manager of American Bank Center, Marc Solis, is excited to see the turnout Saturday which is expected to be a full-house crowd. Solis says, “We’ve had to be extremely creative in recent months to get our fans to continue to spend their entertainment dollars with us under the current economic climate. The Spotlight Cabaret is unlike any venue in Corpus Christi. We used a unique lighting concept and with the help of Razzle Dazzle’s decorators, we’ve transformed a basic room into a viable entertainment asset. The best part is it is extremely inexpensive for us to produce making it exceptionally affordable for the fans.” Events in the Spotlight Cabaret are perfect for date night, a night out with the guys, or an evening with the girls. The Spotlight Cabaret is a 250 seat capacity theater located inside American Bank Center near the Selena Auditorium on the second level of the building. The intimate theater will feature comedy shows, acoustic artists, independent theater productions and similar events.
