GIVING THE COMMUNITY A CHANCE TO DARE TO DREAM
DISNEY ON ICE ENGAGING ORGANIZATIONS IN CORPUS CHRISTI

Disney on Ice’s Dare to Dream is performing several shows throughout this weekend at American Bank Center. Through the stories of Disney’s favorite princesses, Dare to Dream is spreading inspiration throughout the Corpus Christi community by reaching out to several non-profit organizations.

Several families staying at the Women’s Shelter have been given tickets to attend one of the performances this weekend. Twenty Big Brothers and Big Sisters have received tickets to bring their matches to one of the performances as well.

A special event will be held today for selected Girl Scout troops to listen to local leading women in the community and part of the Disney on Ice tour discussing how they followed their dreams. Speakers will include Council Woman Nelda Martinez, KIII-TV Anchor Kristin Diaz, and Texas State Aquarium Senior Trainer Nicole McCormick along with Disney on Ice crew members Emily Haack with wardrobe, Mary Anderson with electrics and performer Robin Johnstone. The Girl Scouts will also watch pre-sets for the show and meet Princess Tiara.

Disney characters Rapunzel and Flynn will grant a request from the Make a Wish Foundation and meet with a local child and his family. Along with meeting the Disney princess and her prince, the family will receive tickets to the show and some special gifts to take home.

“This show delivers such an important message to our youth and we are grateful that Disney on Ice is giving these special groups in our community an opportunity to attend,” said Eric Jaramillo, Director of Marketing for SMG American Bank Center. “Every year Disney on Ice goes above and beyond in giving back to Corpus Christi.”

Tickets for this weekend’s Disney on Ice Dare to Dream performances are available at the American Bank Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.Ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Additional fees may apply. Visit AmericanBankCenter.com for more info.
