Director of Marketing and Corporate Sales

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Director of Marketing & Corporate Sales for SMG American Bank Center. The Director of Marketing & Corporate Sales (DOM) directs a wide-range of marketing campaigns for all the facilities (arena, auditorium and convention center) which are inclusive of all the concerts, and family shows taking place at the facilities. The DOM leads the sales and sponsorship program in which includes corporate sales (suites, club seats, event sponsors, etc.) in conjunction with the advertising, public relations and related tasks. DOM works directly with facility partners such as tenants, promoters, sponsors, suite holders, and advertising clients to make sure all their needs are met.


Night Housekeeping Lead

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Banquet Manager for SMG American Bank Center. Monitors and supervises activities relating to food and beverage service for facility events.


 

Security

Must be a non-commissioned officer as mandated by the State of Texas.  A minimum of 6 months experience.  Responsible for securing property and the safety of individuals at the property.  Must have good written and verbal communications skills while performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to work both indoors and outdoors as required by the function.  Must have the physical ability to maneuver around facility(ies), at times, walking and/or standing up to 8-14 hours daily as well as the ability to kneel, climb to walkways or balance, frequently lift in the excess of 25 pounds.


Custodian

Maintains housekeeping/custodial operations for all facility entities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, kneel, stoop, reach, stretch and climb extensively. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must have a High School diploma or GED and six months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Parking Supervisor

Parking Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the daily activities required to run, maintain, and service the facility’s parking operations by performing the following duties personally or through parking staff.   Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  This position is required to work both indoors and outdoors including in inclement weather as needed.  Must have the physical ability to maneuver around facility(ies), at times, walking and/or standing up to 6-12 hours daily.   Applicants must be18 years of age.  Applicants must pass credit and background check.  Bi-lingual a plus.


Event Staff

Ticket Takers are responsible for various guest relations activities including but not limited to greet, check and direct guest as they enter the building. Scan & verify tickets, direct all guests.   Ushers are responsible for various guest relations including greeting and directing guest to their seats, and other areas.  Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, be able to climb stairs, walk long distances, and stand for long periods of time.  Applicants must be friendly, outgoing and customer service oriented. Applicants must have the ability to work flexible hours based on events including daytime, evening, weekend and holidays as needed.


Parking Cashiers

Responsible for guest relations associated with but not limited to selling parking tickets, coordinate reserved and preferred parking and balancing daily receipts and tickets.  Must have a minimum of 6 months cash handling and customer service experience, be 18 years of age, pass a credit check, be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, be able to work in various climates of weather, and be available to work flexible shifts.


Marketing Internship


Parking Attendants

Responsible for customer service within the parking operations including but not limited to traffic control, parking lot and vehicle organization, and parking problem resolution.  Must be patient, friendly, be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, handle various climates of weather, be 18 years of age, and be available to work flexible shifts.


Overnight Custodian

Housekeepers are responsible for the general cleaning of all facilities including but not limited to restrooms, stairs, seats, elevators, escalators, windows and floors. Duties include sweeping, moping, vacuuming, dusting, empting of trash and replenishing of supplies as needed. Applicants must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend for long periods of time, lift 20 pounds and traverse stairs. Applicants must have the ability to work flexible hours based on events including daytime, evening, weekend and holidays as needed.


Changeover Laborer

Responsible for labor including but not limited to set-up, tear-down, and conversions for all facility events. Must be able to work mostly graveyard shifts after events, but flexible to work other shifts if needed. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and have working knowledge of tools. Forklift experience a plus. 


Event Supervisor

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Part-time Event Supervisor at the American Bank Center. The Event Supervisor is responsible to assist Event Management with patron concerns and employee relations.


Ticket Seller

Ticket sellers are r esponsible for ticket sales for shows and events. Applicants must be friendly, outgoing and customer service oriented, approach each challenge with a positive attitude and enthusiasm. Applicants must have the ability to work irregular/extended hours based on events including evening, weekend and holidays as needed.

 

 

Banquet Captains

Responsible for supervising service, communicates with management on details of the event to ensure proper staffing, equipment, and special arrangements, ensures food quality and presentation is accurate and up to standards.  Responsible for maintaining inventory levels on the floor to meet the demands of the event.  They are involved in maintaining proper inventory.   Applicants must have a valid TABC & Food Handlers permit and be able to work a flexible schedule including weekend, evenings & holidays.   A minimum of 2 years server experience preferred and 1 year of supervisory experience.


Banquet Servers

Answers guest questions about food, beverages, and our facilities accurately and in a friendly manner, serves alcoholic beverages consistent with company standards, identifies food orders when ready and delivers items to tables in a timely manner, responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.  Ensures that guests have a positive and memorable experience, provides the highest level of service in accordance with our standards.  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. alone, walk long distances in a short amount of time and stand for long periods of time.   Applicants must have a valid TABC & Food Handlers permit and be able to work a flexible schedule including weekend, evenings & holidays.   A minimum of 2 years server experience preferred.


Concession Cashiers /Attendants

A Cashier must have basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures. Must have sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money. An Attendant assists with the preparation of the food for sale, bringing the food to cashier as it is ordered by the customer.   Cashier must have a minimum of 6 months of cash handling & customer service experience.  Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance preferred, walk long distances in a short amount of time and stand for long periods of time.  Applicants must have a valid TABC & Food Handlers permit.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings & holidays.   Aminimum of 1 year  customer service and cash handling experience required  for Cashier Position.


Porters

Responsible for stocking, replenishing and transferring product to concession stand/carts.  Assist with receiving deliveries. Assist with pre-event setup and post-event breakdown. This position requires stooping, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs unassisted.  It requires moving/transporting weight up to 170 lbs. with assistance and proper equipment. Must be able to walk long distances in a short amount of time.  Applicants must have a valid TABC & Food Handlers permit.   Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings & holidays. A minimum of 2 years employment history is required.


Vault Cashier

Vault Cashiers are responsible for various guest relations activities including but not limited to opening and closing parking locations as required: creating banks and distributing banks to cashier’s in a timely manner, accurately balance the vault from time to time throughout the night, pick up cash drops from each cashier and dispense change as needed by Parking Cashier’s, accurately verifying cash from each location and enter into the appropriate program on the computer.
Applicants must be friendly, outgoing and customer service oriented, approach each challenge with a positive attitude and enthusiasm. Must have at least 6 months of cash handling experience and be proficient with computer skills. Applicants must have the ability to work flexible hours based on events including daytime, evening, weekend and holidays as needed. Applicants must pass credit and background check. Bi-lingual a plus.


Line Cook

Responsible for fulfilling the service per each Banquet Event Orders (BEO). Maintaining all kitchen equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance.  Must be creative in designing buffet food presentations. Prepares recipes as directed.  Must take direction well.  Maintains full knowledge of food items pertinent to the event. Applicants must have a valid TABC & Food Handlers permit.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings & holidays while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for long hours. Stooping and lifting is also required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds without assistance. A minimum of 1 year banquet cook experience required.
