Time: 10:00 AM Details: 46TH ANNUAL NUECES COUNTY MEDICAL SOCIETY AND ALLIANCE HEALTH FAIR JULY 30,2011 @ 10:00AM-3:00PM AMERICAN BANK CENTER CONVENTION CENTER EXHIBIT HALL FREE TO PUBLIC There will be over 120 booths for the public to visit , including a Children’s Area sponsored by Driscoll Children’s Health Plan, focusing on wellness programs, such as nutrition and immunizations, safety, and providing an opportunity for parents to sign up for health insurance programs, such as Medicaid and CHIP. The Nueces County Medical Society Alliance will have a Hard Hats for Little Heads™ area where they will fit free bicycle helmets for children. The American Heart Association will be offering training in CPR for family and friends. The American Cancer Society will provide free mastectomy prosthesis fittings and the American Diabetes Association will have a diabetes classroom featuring exercise tips and healthy eating ideas. Student athletes can receive school athletic physicals at no charge. First Friday will offer a Breast Health information area that will include Mammogram screening assistance. The public will also have the opportunity to receive a variety of screens and see demonstrations including: Asthma Education Blood Donation
