Event Details: STARS is proud to announce that the 2008 Corpus Christi STARS Extravaganza will feature reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year and ACM Top Male Vocalist, Brad Paisley at the American Bank Center Arena. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2008. The Paisley Party 2008 Tour will also feature country music artists Chuck Wicks and Jewel.

In 2007, STARS raised nearly over 3 million dollars for South Texas students through the STARS Extravaganzas. The STARS Student Scholarship Fund depends on the support of corporate sponsors, foundations and individuals to achieve its goal of assisting promising South Texas students in attending the college or university of their choice.

STARS Extravaganzas are held in Laredo, Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley annually. Each year, top entertainers and speakers are featured, making this one of the premier events in South Texas. Previous speakers have included Toby Keith and former President of Mexico Mr. Vicente Fox. Featured entertainers have included Lonestar, Josh Gracin, Brooks & Dunn, Gretchen Wilson, Tim McGraw and many others.
