The bilingual singer-songwriter known as Shakira has lit up the pop music universe for nearly a decade and sold over 30 million records in the process. Her new two part album is titled Fijacion Oral, Vol. 1 / Oral Fixation, Vol. 2 and is sure to further her success. Shakira produced the entire collection of songs, wrote all of the lyrics and most of the music. Her music is a truly diverse blend of musical influences, from rock to pop, and from traditional Latin rhythms to electronic dance music. This star crafts songs that speak to everyone regardless of their native tongue.

Shakira is known for her unique style and her talent far exceeds her fellow music artists in the business. As Gabriel García Márquez once wrote of her, "Shakira's music has a personal stamp that doesn't look like anyone else's and no one can sing or dance like her, at whatever age, with such an innocent sensuality, one that seems to be of her own invention."

Wyclef Jean has fused hip-hop with as many different styles of music as he could get his hands on. Given his Carribean roots, reggae is by far his favorite. In addition to his niche as hip-hop's foremost global citizen, he was also a noted producer and remixer who worked with an impressive array of pop, R&B;, and hip-hop talent, including Whitney Houston, Santana, and Destiny's Child.

In the studio, Shakira and Wyclef combined elements of Haitian and Colombian cultures to make their "Hips" cocktail. The beat is very contagious, from a dance perspective.

If you haven't seen Shakira in concert, this is a MUST-SEE event!

So mark your calendars for September 20 and join us as we dance the night away with Shakira & Wyclef!
