Event Details: The South Texas Winter Baseball Banquet will take place on January 15, 2008 and is a great event honoring local players that have excelled in the game of baseball this past season. Included in this event will be the recognition of:
* 2 college players (one from Texas A&M-Corpus; Christi and one from Texas A&M-Kingsville;)
* 2 local professional players (pitcher and position player)
* Corpus Christi Hooks most valuable player and pitcher
* 15 local high school players, voted on by area coaches
* The recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award

All proceeds of this event will benefit the Miracle League, which is raising money in an effort to build a field providing children with special needs the ability to experience America's favorite pastime.
