Are you a student interested in gaining experience in marketing and promotions in the entertainment venue industry but don't have the time to dedicate to an internship? SMG American Bank Center wants to give you the opportunity to be involved with our events when you want by joining our Street Team!

As a volunteer, your role is crucial in helping inform the Coastal Bend of upcoming events at American Bank Center Arena, Convention Center and Selena Auditorium. We let you know when we need support and you let us know if you can help. Street team members will typically volunteer 1-2 hours for an event, and in most cases will get to attend the event with a guest.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Relationships in the community are vital for promoting our events. One of the main functions of the American Bank Center Street Team is delivering promotional materials to businesses in Corpus Christi. We will provide volunteers with materials and a list of approved locations that are relatively close to one another. We require materials be delivered to a minimum of 12 locations by a designated deadline. If all requirements have been met, the street team member will be given the opportunity to attend the event with one guest.

We may also request support at a promotional event offsite or at the venue the day of the event by assisting with promotional tables or collecting surveys.

It is up to each individual street team member to decide the Street Team activities that they are involved in.

TIME COMMITMENT

Street team members will typically volunteer 1-2 hours for an event. If you deliver promotional materials to designated locations, you are generally given 1-2  weeks to pick up materials from the venue, distribute materials and return the signature sheet (each location will need to have a manager sign, acknowledging they received materials).

Volunteering at promotional events or on site at the venue prior to an event will vary. We will notify you of the time requirements beforehand so you are able to make arrangements.

The advantage to being an American Bank Center Street Team member is that you determine how in-depth your involvement is. The more you volunteer with delivering promotional items, the more relationships you will form in the community, adding to your circle of contacts. When Street Team volunteers fulfill all requirements for delivering materials, they will be given the opportunity to either attend that specific event with one guest or another event determined by the Marketing Manager.

Volunteers may also have the opportunity to work alongside marketing professionals at promotional events or on site at the venue.

This experience is also a great highlight to put on your resume!
