The competition is heating up for the 17th Annual Pepsi Bay Ball Ballyhoop. More than 150 teams from Corpus Christi and the surrounding areas will show off their skills July 29th-30th for the 3-on-3 Street Baskeball Tournament.

The American Bank Center invites everyone to cheer on the players and take in the view as they battle it out on the courts along the waterfront. Half-court competition areas will be set up in front of the American Bank Center at 1901 North Shoreline Blvd. For anyone wishing to join the fun, it's not too late to enter! The deadline is Saturday, July 21st. Competition categories include men's open, women's open, males under 18, females under 18, men's over 40, and corporate/business. (All youths must be at least 8 years old) Team check-in will be held Friday July 28th from 4pm-8pm. Team entry fees are $120 for four adults, or $80 for four youths. Participation in the Special Olympics inspires athletes, coaches and volunteers to be the best in everything they do, not just on the playing field or on the court, but in the games of life as well. Special Olympics Texas is a privately funded non-profit organization that provides year-round training and competition to more than 24,675 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Lone Star State.
