Myles to Join Islanders in 2007-08

April 20, 2007 - Corpus Christi Carroll High School standout Myeisha Miles has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to continue her basketball career at Texas A&M-Corpus; Christi.

Miles, who was named All-State by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, is a 6’1” post player. She averaged 16.5 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks for the Tigers as a senior and was named All-South Texas Offensive MVP and All-Metro Player of the Year by the Caller-Times. Miles s will play in the TABC’s All-Star game in San Antonio this summer.

She is the fifth senior to sign with the Islanders for next fall. She joins Jade Davis of West Columbia High School and Adrienne Scott of Waco High School, who signed last week, and a pair of signees from November in Langham Creek High School’s Joycelyn Taylor and Nyesha Adams of Harker Heights High School.

“Myeisha is an athletic three player who will be a scorer and rebounder for us,” said Islander head coach Robert Robinson. “She has the potential to be a dominant player in the Southland Conference.”
