November 2, 2007 - American Bank Center/SMG joins the ranks of one of the biggest venues in the country by launching a brand new program this week aimed at boosting customer service and customer appreciation. The program is called Fans First, an aggressive initiative to enhance the mind-set of our employees at all levels, from part-time staff to upper-level management, putting the focus on the fans.

The fans are the number one priority at American Bank Center and will continue to be treated as such. Without the support of the fans, American Bank Center would not exist. Every staff member in the building shares at least one responsibility – making sure the fans enjoy their experience at American Bank Center. “We got the idea of Fans First from the Fed-Ex Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. The General Manger of the building shared his success story with me and by the end of the conversation I couldn’t wait to start Fans First at American Bank Center, says General Manager, Marc Solis. “I firmly believe this program is going to take our building to the next level. We are committed to creating an unparalleled fan experience.”

On the evening of November 1st, every staff member at American Bank Center was required to attend a special presentation to kick-off the Fans First initiative. General Manager, Marc Solis also invited guest speakers Brian Teter, Texas A&M; Corpus Christi Director of Athletics; and Doug Frank, Corpus Christi Rayz Owner/President. Teter and Frank expressed their overwhelming appreciation for the employees and stressed the importance the Fans First program for their teams’ success and for the success of American Bank Center.

American Bank Center is Corpus Christi’s premier event center providing unprecedented guest experiences. Visit us online at www.americanbankcenter.com.
