July 28, 2008 - Exchange Tickets at American Bank Center Box Office
Spirit Jam II, originally scheduled to be held in the American Bank Center Arena will now be held in the Selena Auditorium. The concert date and time will remain the same, August 2 at 7:00PM. Metro Ministries cites ticket sales as the motive for choosing the more intimate venue. Unfortunately, ticket sales for Spirit Jam II are not as strong as anticipated.
Metro Ministries believes the Selena Auditorium suits the soothing musical style of Michael W. Smith and believes the audience will appreciate the opportunity to spend an up close and personal evening with the extraordinary artist. American Bank Center/SMG is working closely with Metro Ministries to assure the smoothest transition possible from the Arena to the Selena Auditorium. “It’s a last minute request, which will pose a challenge for us, but we’re determined to perform to the best of our ability,” says Marc Solis, American Bank Center General Manager.
Ticket holders may go to the American Bank Center primary box office Monday - Friday from 10am – 6pm to exchange tickets.
Tickets for the Spirit Jam concert in Selena Auditorium will still be available starting at 12 noon on Monday and can be purchased at American Bank Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 361-881-8499.
Spirit Jam II, presented by Corpus Christi Electric Company, will generate much needed revenues for Metro Ministries’ seven programs, which help the poor and homeless: Rustic House, Vineyard Social and Volunteer Services, Vineyard Employment Services, Gabbard Memorial Health Clinic, Rainbow House – reopening Fall 2008, and Street Ministry Program. Metro Ministries is now in its 26th year of service working to reduce homelessness and poverty in the Coastal Bend.
Ticket holders who do not wish to attend the performance will need to return their ticket(s) at the point of purchase.
