November 13, 2008 - 2009 AUTO SHOW ONLY ONE WEEK AWAY!
The 2009 International Auto Show Coastal Bend hits the American Bank Center November 21 – 23, 2008. Open to the public, the show will feature displays from manufacturers representing many of the franchises throughout the Coastal Bend, such as Chevrolet, Saturn, Toyota, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Suzuki.
The Auto Show will be open Friday and Saturday, November 21 – 22, 10:00am – 7:00pm and Sunday, November 23, 12:00pm – 6:00pm. Tickets are $5.00. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Show organizers will also be giving away $5,000 in Valero gift cards throughout the weekend. No purchase necessary to enter or win. This includes the $1,000 in gas that will be given to one lucky Auto Show visitor each day at 5:30pm.
Being held for only the second time at the American Bank Center since its last show in 1999, the Coastal Bend New Car Dealers Association (CBNCDA) expects approximately 30,000 visitors to the Convention Center.
“While the event is not a ‘selling’ show, it is the best way to see and compare almost all makes and models of vehicles for sale,” states Amanda Lundquist Shea, President of the CBNCDA. “If you are in the market now for a new automobile or expect to be in the next year, you will not want to miss this event,” she added. “Considering the increasing economic and environmental concerns of today’s consumers, I anticipate most of the manufacturers exhibiting innovative and alternative vehicles at the Auto Show,” said Shea.
In addition to the display of the newest vehicles in the market, Coastal A’s and Rods will showcase their best collection of classic cars and hotrods next to all of the 2009 cars in the showroom.
With approximately 18 members, CBNCDA is the local representation for the franchised automobile industry in the Coastal Bend.
