April 13, 2009 - SMG WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
American Bank Center/SMG is excited to welcome Eric Jaramillo to the SMG family as Director of Marketing for American Bank Center Arena, Selena Auditorium and Convention Center. Jaramillo is a San Antonio native and comes to American Bank Center with eight years of experience in the Sports & Entertainment Marketing Industry working for the NBA Spurs, WNBA Silver Stars and the AHL Rampage. Jaramillo previously held the title of Event Marketing Coordinator at the AT&T; Center in San Antonio, Texas. He is credited with redesigning the venue’s website at ATTCenter.com, building and maintaining database marketing efforts, and creating and implementing innovative marketing initiatives.
Jaramillo has grown fond of Corpus Christi in the short time he’s been here, “I was nervous at first moving to a smaller city and leaving friends and family behind, but everyone has been so friendly and welcoming, it’s starting to feel more like home,” he says. His goals for American Bank Center are extensive and impressive, “I hope to breathe new life into the Entertainment, Arts, Culture and Community by implementing new programs and fresh ideas. With ticket prices on the rise globally, we as the provider of entertainment need to give patrons more bang for their buck.” American Bank Center/SMG General Manager, Marc Solis agrees, “It’s a perfect fit. Eric has the vision and experience to take the American Bank Center Marketing Department to the next level. We need to do everything we can to provide the best value to our customers and though we’ve always incorporated that philosophy, Eric is leading us to uncharted territory and we can’t wait to see what else he has in store.”
