Hip-hop hit-maker and music mogul, Akon is headed to Corpus Christi on June 19th at 8:00pm for Hot Z95 Summer Jam 2009. Special guest artists will be announced soon.
In the wake of his latest album release, Freedom (December 2008), Grammy-nominated Akon is bringing his hottest hits, “Right Now (Na,Na,Na)”, “Beautiful”, and “I’m So Paid” to American Bank Center Arena along with many other fan favorites.
As promised, SMG/American Bank Center General Manager, Marc Solis, delivered when he once again collaborated with Z-95 to bring a second hip-hop show to American Bank Center. It’s just three months after the arena hosted superstar T.I., making it the biggest hip-hop concert ever held in Corpus Christi. Solis is confident Akon will be another successful event and says, “There’s a high demand for megastar Hip-Hop, Rap and R&B; artists in this market. We saw it with T.I. and we’re looking forward to witnessing another fantastic show with record-breaking attendance.”
