Country Newcomer and Nashville Star Finalist- Whitney Duncan will heat up the night by joining Darius Rucker on stage for a special Pre-Thanksgiving concert, November 22, 8 PM, at the American Bank Center Selena Auditorium.
Originally known as the architect and the front-man of the successful band - Hootie and the Blowfish, Rucker has topped the county music charts with “Don’t Think I Don’t think About It,” “It Won’t Be Like this for Long,” and “Alright ” making him the first artist in 17 years to top the Billboard Country chart with three consecutive Number One’s. Darius’s current single, “History in the Making,” is following up to his previous three consecutive Number One hits off his debut country album, Learn To Live.
Rucker is also making a little history of his own this year as one of the few artists picking up a pair of Country Music Association Award nominations in the Male Vocalist of the Year and Best New Artist categories. He has also been nominated for one American Music award in the Favorite Country Male Artist category.
Duncan is celebrating the success of her latest single, “Skinny Dippin,” from her forthcoming Warner Bros. album Right Road Now which broke the Top 20 on the MusicRow Charts and has sold over 50K digital singles. In addition to her contemporary and country sound, Duncan is also an accomplished songwriter penning songs for artists like Lee Ann Womack and Chrystal Shawanda.
