Who is Hurricane Alley Roller Derby?

By proclamation of the mayor, Hurricane Alley Roller Derby is the official  roller derby league of Corpus Christi. We are a diverse group of women and men from every walk of life! We are skater owned and operated. Our mission is to promote roller derby in Corpus Christi and to support our community.

The 2015 season marks our 10th anniversary as a league. We have helped empower woman in our community and, aid in reshaping the perception of women in sports.

Hurricane Alley Roller Derby is now a proud member of  the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association Apprentice Program. This announcement is especially epic for HARD since our acceptance into this program is the first step in legitimizing our league on an international level and placing our City on the WFTDA map. Membership in this organization brings with it opportunities to host tournaments and attract visitors to our beautiful Sparkling City by the Sea.

As an Apprentice affiliate of WFTDA, Hurricane Alley RD joins the ranks of more than 300 all-female, skater owned-and-operated leagues worldwide that have united to lead the growing sport of women’s flat track roller derby.
