Event Details: Come October 3 - 4, 2008, the Selena Auditorium will be filled with women from all over South Texas who want to learn how they can reach higher. With a vision to encourage, equip and empower women to live life to the fullest, the 2008 "Living the Life" Women's Conference will reach women from all walks of life as they gather together in an atmosphere of grace, hope and love. This year's theme, "Reaching Higher", features upbeat, inspirational music, as well as a team of down-to-earth speakers, who through their own personal testimonies, will help equip women to overcome and live fuller lives. This will be a high quality, life inspiring and spiritually transforming weekend for any woman who needs change or simply wants more out of life!

The 2008 Living the Life Conference Team includes Becky Tirabassi; a national best-selling author and motivational speaker; Rochelle Roots, a speaker/teacher, songwriter and author; Laura Harris, an entrepreneur, speaker, and author; Alene Snodgrass, a teacher, speaker and author; Tonya Webber, a speaker and practicing trial attorney; Lakendra Lewis, a singer, author and freelance journalist; and Kristen Reyna, a creative dramatist, singer and writer; and The James Roots Band, a concert/praise and worship band.

Event Details: American Bank Center is bringing you the opportunity of a lifetime. For one evening only, you can be the first to see The Cheetah Girls as they rehearse for their upcoming world tour on Saturday, October 4th at 7:00pm! The Cheetah Girls have chosen American Bank Center Arena for their rehearsal site and for just $22.00 they’re letting the public in for a sneak peak of their tour.

The Cheetah Girls dress rehearsal will give the audience an inside look at what it takes to put together a live Cheetah Girls concert plus the audience will be the very first to see the Cheetah Girls live before they officially launch their world tour.

Proceeds from the rehearsal concert will benefit CCISD’s Education Foundation, an organization that raises funds to support CCISD schools, scholarships, duel-credit scholarships and endowment funds, as well as other special CCISD programs such as Fine Arts. Chairman of the Education Foundation, Peter Weil says, “The Cheetah Girls are an inspiration to kids interested in music and performing and we’re happy to partner with them for the benefit of our local students.”

“This is something we’ve never done before and we’re excited to be able to offer a twist to the show. It’s not a concert; it’s a live dress rehearsal. The audience gets to see The Cheetah Girls not just as performers, but as real artists working to put together a spectacular show. And it’s only $22.00, a front row ticket at that price to see these girls live is unheard of,” adds Marc Solis, General Manager of American Bank Center.
