Event Details: Be a part of Spirit Jam II with top Christian artist Michael W. Smith on Saturday, August 2 at 7pm in the American Bank Center Arena, presented by Corpus Christi Electric Company to benefit Corpus Christi Metro Ministries.

Since his first solo project in 1983, Michael W. Smith has become one of the most popular artists in the Contemporary Christian world selling more than 13 million records and earning 29 #1 hit songs, 14 gold records, and 5 platinum records. In addition he has received 40 Dove Awards, an American Music Award, and three Grammy Awards. Smith won the Male Vocalist of the Year Award at the GMA Music Awards in 2003.

Opening acts are Debra Scott and Prophecy and Gerardo & B.O.C. Praise. Spirit Jam II will generate much needed revenues for Metro Ministries' seven programs, which help the poor and homeless: Rustic House, Vineyard Social and Volunteer Services, Vineyard Employment Services, Gabbard Memorial Health Clinic, Rainbow House - reopening Fall 2008, and Street Ministry Program. Metro Ministries is now in its 26th year of service working to reduce homelssness and poverty in the Coastal Bend.
